Your Home Business Makes a Better You

Share the knowledge:

Everyone can be an entrepreneur

Anyone can start a business from home and make an excellent income without sacrificing their family life.

What I love the best about my home business is that I can quite easily plan my business around my personal life. I may be spending 25 – 30 hours on business some weeks, but even on those busy weeks, I’ve still got the flexibility to do what I want when I want.

I’ve created my work and made it mesh beautifully with my home life.  You can do that too.

I’m in the middle of re-reading Choose Yourself by James Altucher (great read for anyone running or starting a biz from home) and I completely agree with this bit he wrote:

Some people will say, “Well, I’m just not an entrepreneur.”

That is not true. Everyone is an entrepreneur.

The only skills you need are the ability to fail, to have ideas, to sell those ideas, to execute on them, and to be persistent so even as you fail you learn and move onto the next adventure.

I can’t even count the number of times I’ve heard wildly successful entrepreneurs say that failing again and again is just the norm to achieving success as an entrepreneur. And so is acting on those great ideas that come into everyone’s head. Those are probably the two biggest blocks for people who have tried to get their home business making money:

BLOCK #1 – Getting past some type of failure or setback

BLOCK #2 – Taking consistent action on the ideas they have.

Have you been trying to get your business going but just seem to hit brick walls?

Those brick walls aren't there to keep you from success, they're there to test your commitment. How are you going to get past them? #overcomer Click To Tweet

I know, without a doubt, that you have something of value to offer people. You have talents, passions, skills that can be turned into a fulfilling money-making opportunity for you. I know that because it’s human nature to have purpose instilled in us that can be built into something bigger and better than we could ever ask for or imagine.

Mirasee LIFT conference April 2018We just have to start and stick with it to see where these inspired ideas take us.

I recently attended LIFT (a Mirasee business conference) where Danny Iny shared an excellent description of entrepreneurship:

“Entrepreneurship is the repurposing of available resources to a higher purpose or good.”

What resources do you have that you can repurpose to a higher purpose or good? Can you sell what you know? — what you can make? — what you can grow?

What do you enjoy doing that can be monetized?

I bet you’ve got a few ideas and perhaps you’re even working on one or two of them now. Just keep in mind that what got you here, won’t get you there. You may need to get a new perspective and learn new concepts from books and from other people that are where you want to be. Perhaps a healthier lifestyle is needed to boost your feel-good vibes. You will definitely benefit from connecting to the spiritual part of you.

You are not just a physical being – there’s more to you than what we see, but your health is very important.

You are not just an emotional being – there’s more to you than your thoughts and feelings, and you have a lot more control over them than you may realize.

You are not just an intellectual being – there’s more to you than what you know and the skills you’ve acquired, but that mental muscle needs a regular workout.

You are not just a spiritual being. But you do need to be aware of your spiritual side and nurture that part of you on a daily basis.

Wonderful things will happen when you take the time to attend to these 4 areas of the uniqueness that is you.

You’ll discover the ways to do what’s best for you by trying out various things, but here’s a few brief suggestions for each area:

Physical

  • move your body
  • eat healthy
  • get quality sleep

Emotional

  • walk away from ‘drama’
  • don’t feed the negative thoughts
  • keep a gratitude journal

Mental

  • brainstorm ideas every day
  • read non-fiction books every day
  • always be learning

Spiritual

  • live in the present moment
  • stop thinking about the past and future
  • cultivate the awareness that everything is exactly as it should be
  • know that you were created for a purpose

When you integrate little tidbits of these 4 areas of humanity into your daily life, you will be setting yourself up for greatness! And what do you get when you’re great?

Work that you love

Healthy relationships

An inner joy that can’t be shaken by external circumstances

Many learning opportunities

A mind full of ideas
